From a young age, my parents encouraged me to save the checks that came in my birthday cards. They even had a “company match,” where they’d contribute the same amount that I was willing to save — with no maximum! It became clear to me very early that good financial guidance was important. That, coupled with seeing the positive impact my dad made in the lives of his clients, all but guaranteed that I’d join him in the “family business” someday.
I love working with people of all ages and circumstances. I’ve especially found great joy in working with younger people who are just starting to accumulate wealth. While their goals are often focused on enjoying life today, I can work to ensure they also attain long-term financial security and success. At this stage, one of those goals may be planning for their children’s education. I hold the Certified College Planning Specialist (CCPS) designation, which allows me to help our clients understand the financial aid process and balance the ability to pay for college with the need to save for retirement.
I graduated from UC San Diego with a degree in history and a minor in economics. In 2019, I married my high school sweetheart after a “brief” 13-year courtship. We enjoy traveling the world, cooking gourmet meals together, and listening to vintage vinyl records, many of which I’ve “borrowed” from my parents.
